A Mumbai commuter, Teena Choudhry, went viral after confronting officials and BJP leader Girish Mahajan during a severe traffic jam allegedly caused by a political rally in Worli on April 21.
In her initial video, she questioned the disruption and demanded action to clear the blocked road. The clip sparked widespread attention online.
Later, Choudhry issued a clarification stating she is safe and that the situation was eventually resolved after intervention. She explained she had been stuck in traffic for nearly 25 minutes before attempting to speak with police officials and requesting that obstructing buses be moved to ease congestion.
She also clarified that she threw a bottle on the ground only to draw attention, not at anyone. According to her, Mahajan was the only person who engaged with her concerns, and after his intervention, the buses were moved, allowing traffic to resume.
Mahajan acknowledged the inconvenience caused by the rally and stated that traffic disruption was unintended.
This incident has reignited discussion around traffic management during large political gatherings in urban areas like Mumbai.
